Chocolate silver male, chocolate male and chocolate silver female born 19th August 2013 from Kazizkatz Crystalpaws Mars (Mars) x Merrydancers Twinkling Moon (Molly)
All reserved.

Molly started having her kittens just after midnight and had all three in just over an hour. Molly was a little confused at first and her first kitten was born next to her kittening box but once put in her box, with her new kitten, she soon settled down and cleaned the kitten up. All three kittens are big but Molly didn't seem to have any problems giving birth to them - probably because she is a nice big girl. Molly and kittens are doing well.

At one week old, Molly's kittens are doing well and have all doubled their birth weight. Molly is such a relaxed mum and just takes everything in her stride.

At two weeks old, Molly's kittens all have their eyes open. They are still such big babies and are already showing an interest in climbing out of their bed

At three weeks old, Molly's kittens are nearly able to get out of their bed - I don't think it will be long before they are out:-)

At four weeks old, Molly's kittens are now out of their kitten box and are happily chasing each other around the kitten pen.

At five weeks old, Molly's kittens have now moved downstairs to the kitten room. The female is eating solid food and the chocolate silver male is starting to show some interest but the chocolate male still prefers Molly's milk:-)

At six weeks old, Molly's kittens are now all eating solid food. Molly has been a bit poorly with mastitis over the weekend. She had a very high temperature and was kept in at the vet for a few hours to make sure it came down before coming home. Fortunately it came down quite quickly and she was allowed home on antibiotics. She seems fine now but we are keeping an eye on her.

At seven weeks old, Molly's kittens have had a bit of a hard week. Molly's mastitis developed into an abscess and the kittens must have taken in some 'bad' milk. The chocolate silver male was affected the most, possibly because he wasn't so keen on solid food, and he became very dehydrated. He refused all food, so I had to give him fluids and high calorie food by syringe every two hours for 48hours until the antibiotics started to work. Bella even let him have some milk:-)The other two kittens were a bit off their food but were still nibbling. They are all on antibiotics and are tucking into lots of food now - we are really pleased with how they have got through this. Molly's abscess is nearly gone now due to the strong antibiotics but she is no longer able to feed her kittens.

At eight weeks old, Molly's kittens are now eating so much food that they feel like different kittens when we pick them up:-) They have gained nearly 200g in just a week and are so much more playful now. I think Molly's milk must have made them feel a bit poorly for a couple of weeks or more but they are definitely better now:-) Molly's abscess has now healed up but she still has a couple more days of antibiotics, so still can't be with her kittens again yet.

At nine weeks old, Molly's kittens have had their first vaccinations and another vet check. They have all more than doubled their weight since they were poorly a couple of weeks ago:-) Molly has finished her antibiotics, so she has now been allowed back with her kittens when she wants to be with them.

At ten weeks old, Molly's kittens are still doing really well. The two silvers were off their food a bit a couple of days after their vaccinations but are diving back into their food now. I don't think anything will ever put Fudge (chocolate male) off his food!! I have taken the pictures without the flash today.

At eleven weeks old, Molly's kittens are starting to seem very grown up and their ticking is really coming through in their coats now - so they are looking much less fluffy.

At twelve weeks old, Molly's kittens will be having their second vaccinations tomorrow and will soon be going off to their new homes, except Tia who will be staying with us:-)
