Three usual males, one sorrel female and one sorrel silver female born 3rd October 2012 from Crystalpaws Frodo Baggins (Frodo) x Silversmoke Gigi (Gigi).
All reserved.

We thought Gigi would have her kittens on the Tuesday evening as she seemed to start having them at around 6pm and then stopped. After a couple of hours of nothing, we spoke to the vet and he said that if she seemed happy, it would be okay to leave her and she should start again. By 8:30 the next morning she still hadn't done any more so we took her to the vet for an examination and an oxytocin injection to get her going. We then took her home, watched her for another hour and, just as I was about to phone the vet back and say that it hadn't worked, Gigi started having contractions. The first two were then born very quickly, with the third and fourth half an hour later. Gigi then had a rest for nearly four hours, feeding her babies quite happily and then, when I checked her, there was another wet kitten!! All kittens and Gigi are doing well.

One day old, with Gigi protecting them.

At five days old, Gigi's kittens are all feeding well and growing quickly. Gigi is a really fantastic mum and just purrs constantly. I have to be very quick weighing Gigi's babies as she worries so much when they cry.

At twelve days old, Gigi's kittens have nearly all opened their eyes fully and have more than doubled their birth weight. They have all had their claws clipped today for the first time - I usually do them when they are a bit older but they seemed so sharp, they have been done early!

At three weeks old, Gigi's kittens have all got their eyes open and are chasing each other around their kitten box. They are still gaining weight well and Gigi seems to just love being a mum. The usual males are so similar, we have colour their ears so that we can tell them apart.

At four weeks old, Gigi's kittens are really active and are nearly climbing out of their kitten box - I think they will be out in the next day or so;-) They are all much more steady on their feet and enjoy fighting with their blanket.

At five weeks old, Gigi's kittens are out of their kitten box and are enjoying playing with Tinks' kittens and Coco's kittens. They are all starting to tuck into their mum's food.

At seven weeks old, Gigi's kittens are all growing really fast and are very cuddly kittens. Gigi is such a good mum to her babies and still likes to spend most of her time with them.
