Two chocolate females, one usual female, one usual male and one lilac male born 12th June 2015 from Abychat Blue-Moon (Blue) x Crystalpaws Coco-Noisette (Coco)
All reserved

Yet again Coco had her kittens at night. She started contractions at around 22:30 and the first kitten was born just before midnight. They are all quite big kittens, with the biggest being the usual male who weighed 122g at birth. Once Coco had finished at around 02:00, she settled nicely to feed them all. All have gained nicely in the first 12hrs and Coco is being a fantastic mum.

12 hours old.

At one week old, Coco's kittens are all doing well and have all doubled their birth weight. Coco was very protective of her babies for the first couple of days but she is now her usual chilled self and is happy for all of us to handle her kittens and give her a cuddle.

At two weeks old, Coco's kittens have nearly all got their eyes fully open - just the dark chocolate girl has hers half open.

At three weeks old, Coco's kittens are starting to play fight with each other and all seem to love having their tummies tickled. A couple of them are already starting to show interest in climbing out of their kitten box.

At seven weeks old, Coco's kittens are having a bit of a growth spurt and are suddenly looking quite big. They are almost as boisterous as Mystique's kittens;-)

At eight weeks old, Coco's kittens are becoming quite chunky and cuddly. Coco has decided that she doesn't want to be with her kittens much now - I think they have become too boisterous for her;-)

At nine weeks old, Coco's kittens will be having their first vaccinations later today. We had a bit of a scare with the usual male a couple of days ago when he got his head stuck in one of the edge holes in our wine rack. It took us a while to extract him from it without hurting him. I had thought that we would need to saw him out but I managed to hammer the rack part backwards into the frame, which gave him enough room to wriggle out:-) We have had the wine rack for ten years and this is the first time this has happened - I did think we may have had to call emergency services!!! He is absolutely fine but I think he may have lost one of his lives. Needless to say, we have now blocked the smaller edge holes up.

At ten weeks old, Coco's boys are having a bit of a growth spurt - they are suddenly looking huge. I tried to take pictures earlier in the day but they were too playful. They were much better later in the day:-)

At eleven weeks old, Coco's kittens are becoming very boisterous. I had such a busy day that I haven't had a chance to do pictures until the evening, so the colour on a couple is not the best due to the flash, especially affecting the eyes on a couple. The lilac male is really hard to take a picture of, as he always comes bounding up to sit and play on my lap.

At twelve weeks old, Coco's kittens have had their second vaccination, micro-chip and vet check. They weren't worried by any of it and purred all the way through. They were all weighed after their check ups and, surprisingly, they were all very similar in weight except the usual male who weighed a whopping 1.6kg. They were really sleepy for their pictures after there adventure at the vet:-)They will be going to their new homes next week.
